For Orthodox Christians who would like to join Saint Luke’s, we encourage you to contact our church office and schedule an appointment with our pastor. You are most welcome and we look forward to getting to know you! We send out a single weekly news update email each Thursday; if you’d like to be added to our mailing list, please let our office know.

Getting to know people in a new community can be daunting, but the fastest way to do so is to get involved! Please check out our Ministry Teams page to see where you might fit in our many active groups.

Becoming Orthodox

For those interested in learning about Orthodoxy, we’re happy to help! Becoming an Orthodox Christian begins where it always has: “Come and see” (John 1:39). We encourage inquirers to visit us a few times, hear about our life in Christ, attend services and meet people as the first step. Every other Saturday afternoon during the Fall and Winter, we have classes to present a brief introduction to the Orthodox Church. The next step is to become a “Catechumen” (someone who has requested to be received into the Church) and spend time in our parish community. Finally, the Catechumen is received into the Church by the sacrament of baptism or chrismation.
